Performance and Application of PVC Hardboard
PVC hard board (rigid polyvinyl chloride board) is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant plastic sheet made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin as the main raw material, with stabilizers, lubricants and other additives added through extrusion or lamination processes. The common thickness is 1-30mm, with a variety of colors such as white, gray, blue, etc. It has excellent mechanical properties and chemical stability, and is widely used in industries such as chemical, construction, and electronics.
Processing method of PVC rigid board
1. Cutting: Circular saw, laser cutting, and CNC engraving can be used (low-speed cutting is recommended to avoid edge melting).
2. Drilling&Tapping: A regular drill bit is sufficient, but it needs to be cooled to avoid overheating and deformation.
3. Hot forming: After heating to 120-150 ℃, it can be bent or molded.
4. Welding:
-Hot air welding: Use PVC welding rods for joint welding.
-Ultrasonic welding: suitable for connecting precision components.
5. Adhesive: Use PVC special adhesive (such as chloroform, epoxy resin adhesive).
PVC hard board has become an ideal material for industries such as chemical, construction, and electronics due to its high strength, corrosion resistance, flame retardancy, and ease of processing. When selecting, it is necessary to choose the appropriate model based on thickness, chemical resistance, and flame retardant requirements, and process it correctly to extend its service life.
