Performance and Application of PVC Soft Board

1、 Definition of PVC Soft Board

PVC flexible board is a soft and bendable plastic sheet made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin as the main raw material, with additives such as plasticizers and stabilizers added, and rolled or extruded into shape. Its hardness can be adjusted by the content of plasticizers, with a common thickness of 0.3-10mm and a variety of colors (such as transparent, white, gray, etc.).

2、 Main properties of PVC soft board

1. Good flexibility

-The plasticizer content is high (20%~50%), which can be bent, curled, and not easily broken, making it suitable for applications that require flexibility.

2. Chemical corrosion resistance

-Acid, alkali, salt (such as dilute sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, salt water), but not resistant to organic solvents (such as acetone, gasoline).

3. Electrical insulation

-High resistivity, suitable for insulation layers of wires and cables, protective pads for electrical equipment, etc.

4. Flame retardancy (optional)

-Some models are equipped with flame retardants to meet UL94 V-0 or B1 flame retardant standards, and are used in places with fire protection requirements.

5. Waterproof and moisture-proof

-Completely non absorbent, suitable for humid environments such as pool liners and underground engineering moisture-proof layers.

6. Easy to process

-It can be cut, heat sealed, high-frequency welded, glued, and has flexible processing methods.

7. Environmental friendliness

-Some products comply with ROHS and REACH standards, are non-toxic and odorless, and can be used in food packaging or medical fields.
