Performance and Application of PPH Board

PPH board is a high crystallinity polypropylene material with excellent chemical resistance, high temperature resistance, and mechanical strength, widely used in industries such as chemical, environmental protection, and power. The following are its key performance and typical applications.

1、 Main properties of PPH board

1. Physical and mechanical properties

-High strength: PPH has higher crystallinity than ordinary PP, better tensile strength and rigidity, and is suitable for load-bearing structures.

-Impact resistance: It maintains good toughness at low temperatures (above -10 ℃), but is lower than PE.

-Lightweight: With a density of approximately 0.91 g/cm ³, it is lighter than metal and easier to install.

2. Chemical resistance

-Strong acid and alkali resistance: can withstand corrosive media such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid (concentration ≤ 70%), sodium hydroxide, etc.

-Not applicable scenarios: Not resistant to strong oxidants such as concentrated nitric acid and chromic acid, as well as organic solvents such as benzene and chloroform.

3. Thermal performance

-Temperature resistance range: -10 ℃~+110 ℃ (short-term up to 120 ℃), better than ordinary PP and PE.

-Hot deformation temperature (0.45MPa): about 110-120 ℃, suitable for high temperature environments.

4. Electrical insulation

-High resistivity, suitable for electrical insulation components.

5. Processing performance

-Weldable: Hot air welding (PPH special welding rod) or extrusion welding (suitable for thick plates).

-Machinable: CNC, circular saw cutting, but high temperature melting should be avoided.

-Difficult to bond: Low surface energy, requiring specialized adhesive or surface treatment.

6. Environmental friendliness

-Recyclable, some food grade PPH meets FDA standards.

2、 The main purpose of PPH board

1. Chemical industry

-Corrosion resistant storage tanks/reactors: PPH plates are welded into large acid storage tanks and alkali solution tanks.

-Electroplating equipment: plating tank, pickling tank lining (resistant to 50% sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid).

-Chemical pipeline: PPH pipeline system for transporting corrosive media.

2. Environmental engineering

-Waste gas treatment tower: PPH board made acid mist purification tower and washing tower.

-Wastewater treatment equipment: neutralization tank, sedimentation tank lining plate.

-Desulfurization device: Power plant flue gas desulfurization system (resistant to SO ₂ corrosion).

3. Electricity and Electronics

-Electrical insulation components: switchgear partitions, cable protection sleeves.

-Battery compartment: A sulfuric acid resistant battery casing.

4. Food and Medicine

-Food grade containers: fermentation tanks, purified water storage tanks (requiring FDA certification).

-Pharmaceutical equipment: drug delivery pipelines, workbenches.

5. Other industrial sectors

-Mechanical protective cover: a machine tool baffle that is resistant to chemical splashes.

-Laboratory equipment: fume hood, acid and alkali resistant countertop.
